Strain-space plasticity: a superior alternative

Abstract

Stress-space formulation of plasticity generally used to solve various engineering problems has some limitations. There is an alternative approach using strain-space formulation which does not have such shortcomings. However, the full potential of strain space plasticity is yet be explored. This paper highlights the merits of strain-space plasticity alongwith an overview of research.
